Leave a comment and then, I will:

1. Tell you why I friended you.
2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, a word etc.
3. Tell you something I like about you.
4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
7. In return, you must post this in your LJ.

my comment is... you don't update anymore. my proposal is... update smaller things, instead of massive posts. it doesn't all have to be the built up drama of life in one shot.

oh, and i guess, just because, i'll swipe this thing and meme it over in my journal.

You're right. I almost forget how to post. I was thinking of doing a wedding recap, then maybe a short, then short ones from there on out.

Anyhow, here's your answers. You know this is coming right back at you.

1. Tell you why I friended you.
Because you're THEE Matt Lydon

2. Associate you with something - fandom, a song, a colour, a photo, a word etc.
Tea

3. Tell you something I like about you.
That you're open to trying almost anything at least once.

4. Tell you a memory I have of you.
You looking all dapper in a top hat and tails at your wedding.

5. Ask something I've always wanted to know about you.
Why do you try so hard to create? Sometimes I get the feeling that you push yourself too hard and that if you took the pressure off yourself, you'd create so much more on all fronts.

6. Tell you my favorite user pic of yours.
I like the one you used on your most recent post.

7. In return, you must post this in your LJ.
It seems you've already done that.

Wow... #5 is a great question, Janet! And I'm sure you might have guessed that I wrestle with that particular question A LOT. Recently, I had a friend tell me something magical that has helped me, at least insofar as I've been writing more poetry and posting more entries on LJ than I have in a while. That was:

"Anything worth doing is worth doing poorly."

There's a lot to that phrase, but one facet of it, which has helped me just GO WITH IT, is that I have to remember that I'm doing something I love, and NOT worry about the outcome and overthink everything to death, because if I do, the thing in the first place will never get done.

NOW... if I can transfer that thinking successfully to comedy writing and, more importantly, to music writing/recording, I think you're right... I WILL create so much more.

man... GOOD question, Janet!
